“Living Life From The Inside Out”
By Gwen Trader L.C.S.W. - C (Continued)
morning, leaving the bed unmade, or simply not doing some of the non-essential things that we do. Letting go of the non-essentials is a difficult task, but necessary to our wholeness and well being. So ask yourself, to have order in my life what do I need to let go of?
Order flows into harmony in which we have begun a lifestyle of gratitude, simplicity, order and we begin to experience ebb and flow to our days; our quiet, more reflective self begins to transform our cluttered inner space. We begin to be fully present in each moment as it unfolds without attachments to achievements, failures, or outcomes. Each moment is in itself “our best” and thus “good enough”. We need to surrender our endless agendas, our fears, and our worries. Negative thoughts grow like weeds in a garden if we allow them. To continue this journey to inner peace we must give up the illusion of being in control.
Harmony gives openness to beauty – a deep inner awareness that all is a gift. We begin to see the blessedness of our life and see even those things that may have seemed burdensome as a gift. As we see each moment as a gift we begin to radiate an inner beauty that touches and blesses others. We also begin to have a passion for beauty; a deep desire to experience creation with all of our senses. We begin to experience the sacred in the ordinary. A sense of awe and wonder filters through our days and gives way to joy. Moments of pure joy radiate through our day grounding us and giving us a sense of purpose and conscious awareness as we attend to the work of our day. We know now that our purpose in life is to live from the inside out; to nurture our soul and to allow our authentic self to be born.
