Individual Therapy

Individual counseling is a collaborative process between therapist and client in which the client learns how to enact new ways of behaving, feeling, and thinking. Counseling gives individuals the opportunity to discuss emotional challenges that complicate their life. Counselors focus on the goals their clients wish to achieve. Clients explore their present distress and the changes that must be made to achieve personal objectives.

Renewal’s professionals work with adults struggling with separation, divorce, remarriage, depression, anxiety, stress, anger, past abuse and trauma, grief, chemical dependency, unemployment, or current life transitions. We also specialize in working with children and adolescents who have emotional or behavioral challenges such as depression, cutting, suicidal ideation, anxiety, Learning Disabilities, Autism/Asperger’s, adjustment difficulties, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and oppositional defiant disorder.

Our team of professionals use evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma Therapy, Christian Counseling, and Art Therapy.
